Search your computer files faster with Copernic

Are you frustrated with the performance of your default windows search application? Yes, I am! It takes so long to search even for a file.I just don’t want to imagine what will happen if I need to find quite a number of files.

Microsoft should find ways to improve this feature in their future versions of Windows.

Anyhow, as I was stumbling through the web, I found this amazing software named Copernic Desktop Search. This software is similar to the internet search engines but it is a desktop version. That means we can find the files in our computer as fast as the internet search engines.

Sounds interesting isn’t it?

This software indexes all the files in the computer once it is installed. This takes some time but once it is done, file searches can be performed as fast as 2 seconds!!

Furthermore, this software utilizes CPU, memory, and disk space efficiently to ensure continued high levels of system performance. So there is no worry of lacking system performance.

The home edition of this software is absolutely free. It can be downloaded at Copernic.com. If you have used it, you’re most welcomed to share your reviews here.

Portable applications

When I was stumbling through the web I found this particular website which provides portable applications. It was something new for me. Portable applications are applications which can be carried and used on other computers without the need to install them.

Its like taking your documents in your thumbdrive and accessing them on other’s computers, but in this case its is a whole application like web browsers, anti-virus tools and much more. This website, PortableApps.com is providing a platform to maintain our portable applications. So, we just have to install the platform on our portable device such as a thumbdrive or Ipod and then plug them in other’s computers to start using the applications. It is so simple to be used.

Besides that, adding new portable applications is also easy. This really benefits those who travel frequently and depend on other people’s computer .The best thing I like in this tool is that, we can carry our portable games like sudoku and minesweeper within our thumbdrive and play them on other computers without installing them. This is something really portable. You can visit the site at PortableApps.com.

Oh!!!!! I forgot to mention the most important thing, this platform is absolutely free.
