Wordpress Affiliate Marketing(WAM)-The Next Gen
Affiliate marketing has evolved over the years from mere sales page creating which directly promotes products into more content-driven websites which pre-sell by getting in to the mind of the prospects and emphasize on the advantage of a certain product. This ‘pre-selling’ tactic is proofed to be most effective affiliate marketing method by the super affiliates. Pre-selling involves an effective website creation. That’s why the next generation of super affiliates are using Wordpress blogs as their affiliate website. If you want to know the advantages of using CMS (Content Management System) such as Wordpress over a static website please read my article “Advantages of Affiliate Marketing through Wordpress Blogs”.
What I’m going to discuss in this article are some simple tweaks to make Wordpress blogs as super cash pulling affiliate websites. Besides that, I will also mention some of the vital prerequisites for a Wordpress blog to be an effective affiliate marketing website. This is quite a long article, but it surely has all the importance if you are using or planning to use Wordpress blogs as affiliate marketing website. So, make sure you read them with great attention. If you have no time right now, bookmark this page and come again later when you are free. This will make sure you understand fully what I am trying to convey here.
Okay. Let’s go to the topic now.
1) Choose the right theme
The very first thing to do in making Wordpress blogs fully optimized for affiliate marketing is choosing the right theme. If you don’t get this right, then your entire marketing effort will not reward you much. Choose the theme which really suits your niche and make sure it helps getting your content to the eyes of your visitor. One of a BAD BAD theme for affiliate marketing blogs is the one you see on this page. Now you might ask, “Why is it bad?” Well, look at the theme at whole, does it portrays any particular niche. Look at the sidebar, there are too many distractions in the form of widgets such as blogrush, mybloglog, entrecard and other irrelevant advertisements. (I purposely published this article here to let you see the effects of choosing an inappropriate theme.) Visitors of an affiliate marketing blog must be directed to read the pre-selling contents and not get their concentration distracted with other irrelevant stuffs. Use simple yet effective themes and do not overload them with unrelated items. Also make sure the theme is easily customizable according to your marketing campaigns.
2) Create contents that pre-sell
If you’ve noticed in the above paragraphs, I have mentioned about getting visitors to read your pre-selling content. Pre-selling is the most effective lethal weapon to convert visitors into customers. It is the art which created the super affiliates. If you are into affiliate marketing then this is a ‘must know’ tactic. Pre-selling is a process in which affiliates warm up their site visitors, create trust and respect, highlight the visitor’s problems and then emphasize on how the recommended product will overcome the problem. Through this process, you will be able to direct your site’s visitors to the product’s sales page with the mindset of making a purchase. Everyone can master this art if there is some effort and guidance. So, the point here is to make sure your affiliate marketing blog has contents that pre-sell. Well, you are using Wordpress instead of static websites to manage your contents effectively, how can this point be ignored.
3) Use Landing pages for PPC traffic
PPC traffic is the easiest way to get laser targeted visitors to your affiliate marketing blog. Even though they are targeted visitors, you must make sure they are not navigated away from the site you wish them to read. Simply directing the PPC traffic to the main page of the blog or to a page which uses the default template will not help much. Make sure you create a landing page template and use them for your PPC traffic. This landing page template should not give chance for the visitors to easily navigate away from that page.
4) Research for the appropriate Keywords
Keywords play a major role in SEO. Researching for the right keyword and using them correctly will enable your website to rank high on the search engines. This will tremendously help to bring in tons of FREE targeted traffic. Use plugins such as ‘All in One SEO pack’ to insert the appropriate keywords in meta tags and description of each content to make sure the keywords are properly placed for the ‘eyes’ of the search engines.
Above were just a few tips to create an effective wordpress affiliate marketing blog. You should engage yourself in a series of trial and error to gain the necessary experience and knowledge to create an effective affiliate marketing blog.

Great Post- Especially topic 3… Sometimes I think about whether or not my AdSense should be on my blog.
Hello, This is Noe Just want to pass on some great information on to your readers. A friend revealed something that I found quite interesting… If you’ve been around the (internet marketing) scene for awhile, you’ve most likely heard the term “squeeze page” before, right? At least that’s what I thought. Well, he surveyed approx. 500 people on his list who are interested in making money online. Many stated they were interested in affiliate marketing, product creation, MLM, etc… One of the questions was “Do you know what a “Squeeze Page” is?” 68.05% answered yes and 31.95% answered NO. To be honest… I was shocked that 31.95% said no. What about you? In light of this shocking survey data I decided to write this comment-post today to go over the very basics of what a squeeze page is and why you should be using them in your business (if you are not already.) And for those of you who already use them, pay attention. You will probably learn something too. Here goes… A squeeze page which is also known as a “lead capture page” or “name squeeze page” is a simple web page with one purpose; to get your visitor to give you their name and email address so you can follow-up with them. That’s it. One of the best ways to get someone to opt-in to your squeeze page is by offering something of high perceived value such as a mini ecourse or a highly targeted eBook. Good example, let’s say you are promoting a multi-level marketing business opportunity. The products are great and you are a raving fan. Most people would just start promoting the website the company supplies. I say no. This is a perfect opportunity to implement the use of a squeeze page and offer something of value first. That way, you collect the leads, you follow-up with an introduction of yourself and begin building a long lasting business relationship. In sales, what we are really selling is “us” first, then the product. You always want to provide value first. Once your prospects warm up to you, then it’s time to ask the right questions to determine if your product or business opportunity can help solve their needs. If you’d like to see a high quality, high converting squeeze page that James has put together, you can visit the link. It’s important to read the “thank you” page on the other side you can get an idea of how the whole process works. Until next time… Yours in success, Noe Vela
